1872 HAWAII. Rare Honolulu Edition of Jarves' History of the Hawaiian Islands. Congregational and both sued the ParishA rather nicely preserved textual edition of the important second Hawaiian edition of Jarves' classic on the Sandwich Islands. It includes wood engraved illustrations in the text. and is the only edition with Whitney's appendix with agricultural and commercial statistics as well as a "Historical Sketch of Hawaiian Volcanoes" not in earlier editions.
