Discovery Rugs a sign of the mingledWith discovery often comes resistance. Here, the tulip begins to bloom while the figure strains against it one hand gripping the stem as if to pull it away. Neon pinks and oranges radiate from the flower, infusing the figure with vitality even as it resists. Discovery captures the moment we become visible to ourselves and denial meets illumination, rawness on display to the world.
