Ted Taylor is an Ashington based artist, who has a MFA degree from Newcastle University, Ba. Hons. Degree in Fine Art from Sunderland University, and a Btec Foundation Studies in Art and Design from Newcastle College.
Ted’s artwork which ranges from drawings, paintings, and sculpture have been represented in exhibitions held at Newcastle College, Washington Art Centre,Sunderland University, the Winter Gardens-Blackpool, Newcastle University, the Shipley Art Gallery -Gateshead, the Glasgow School of Art, the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Liverpool Town Hall, the Victoria and Albert Museum-London and Woodhorn Colliery Museum-Ashington.

Ted has worked on a number of art activities ranging from workshops and residencies, within the local community. He has taught in the adult learning sector, running Community Education classes in various High Schools and also delivered classes for the WEA {Workers Education Association}. He has worked for the Arts Project based within the NHS Mental Health Hospital system and is currently running classes at the Elizabethan Hall Newbiggin.
