PUBLIC WINDOW


The PUBlic Window micro-gallery is a venture that displays art in unexpected or opportunistic spaces, increasing public engagement with art. The PUBlic Windows consist of four identical micro-galleries situated in public locations across Newcastle upon Tyne and Northumberland. These windows are rotated between four venues, allowing the work to reach a wider audience.
The first round of travelling PUBlic Windows in 2023 was generously funded by Heart of Blyth, and has since been exhibited at Blyth Library, The Old School Gallery in Alnmouth, and Market Pavilion Blyth. Current locations include Kings Head Café, Seaton Delaval Hall, Bede Academy, Newcastle Contemporary Art, and hopefully many more to come…
